In case you’re wondering…
-
Do I need to sign a contract or pay a deposit?
Absolutely! Contracts protect both parties and ensure everyone is on the same page. And yes, a full payment or instalment is required to secure your brand session and reserve your shoot date.
-
How do payments work? Do you offer payment plans?
Invoices are sent to clients and payments can be made via e-transfer, credit or debit. You can pay in full or pay in two instalments. When paying in instalments, the first payment is required at booking and the final payment is due 7 days before the shoot.
-
Do you charge tax?
Yes. The pricing displayed on my website doesn’t include tax, but I do charge 5% GST and 7% PST on all services. My GST and PST number are also displayed on all invoices for those who need to reference it.
-
How far in advance should I book a brand session?
If you are planning for a marketing or website launch, I recommend booking 2-3 months in advance of when you need your images. If you have no deadline, I suggest booking 4-6 weeks in advance to account for a stress-free planning process.
-
How much work do I have to put in as a client?
Brand shoots are a collaboration! My creative process creates structure and accountability to help you put together details such as your outfits, props, and hair & makeup. At the end of the day, capturing your brand identity requires YOUR vision and input. I’m here to help you turn that vision into imagery you’ll love!
-
Where will we shoot? Who covers the cost of renting a studio?
I'll help you choose the best on-brand location for your shoot, whether it's on-location, or in-studio. Clients must book and cover the costs of any rental or studio fees.
-
I have no idea what to wear, can you help me with that?
Yes, I can! While I do not personally provide wardrobe styling services, I can give you stylistic input, or refer you to a fashion stylist who can help you procure an on-brand wardrobe.
-
Do I need professional hair, makeup & nails done for my shoot?
It's not mandatory, however, having professionals handle all things beauty related will result in a more polished look, since I don't airbrush photos. Think of it as treating yourself for your shoot – it's also less stressful not having to do it all yourself!
-
What if I need to reschedule my shoot?
Life happens! I’m happy to offer one courtesy reschedule provided notification is made 7 days prior. Any additional rescheduling requests will incur a cancellation plus rebooking fee in order to maintain the integrity of the appointment.
-
What if I'm super awkward in front of the camera?
It’s totally normal to feel awkward in front of the camera, but that’s what I’m here for! Don’t worry about too much about posing – I’ll reference your vision board & shot list and direct you to make sure you nail every pose. Your only job on set is to relax, be yourself, and have fun – I promise your photos will turn out even better if you do!
-
Will I see every shot you took from the shoot?
Nope! I save you from “analysis paralysis” by only showing you the best, most usable photos, meaning no blinking, blurry, or unflattering shots. I usually send 3-5x the number of final images in your selected package, giving you plenty to choose from.
-
Will my photos be retouched?
I’m an advocate for loving yourself as you are, so I do not airbrush my images. However, I will edit out the occasional stress pimple or stray hair if necessary, so don’t worry, you’ll still look like yourself!
-
Can you edit my images a certain way?
I specialize in providing bright and vibrant, true-to-life images to put the spotlight on you and your brand. What you see on my website is what you get! However, on a case-by-case basis, I may occasionally adjust my editing style to better fit my client’s brand’s aesthetic. If you’re curious about this, please inquire!
-
What rights do I have to my images?
You have the right to use the images for your own personal marketing on your website, social media, marketing materials & print. You cannot sell your images for profit or publish your images outside your contract without the written consent Raez Creative.
-
Can I buy the raw / unedited images from my shoot?
No, I do not provide RAW, unprocessed files as I believe in delivering a finished product that will reflect the integrity of my work.
